Located in São João da Pesqueira, one of the best known wine production areas of the Douro, Quinta De Cidrô has become a model of wine experimentation for the entire region. In a virgin land, state-of-the-art technology was used to plant the best grape varieties, along an area that exceeds 150 ha.
In this privileged location, some international grape varieties coexist mildly with the castes of the region. Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Pinot Noir and the adaptable noble cabernet Sauvignon are some of the international varieties that manifest here their best characteristics, when combined with the enormous oenological capacity provided by REAL COMPANHIA VELHA. The Touriga Nacional is considered the queen caste in Portugal and the dominant caste in Quinta De Cidrô. The altitude of the Quinta provides the freshness and acidity ideal for the production of elegant reds.
