One of the most prestigious farms in the Douro is Quinta Do Vallado, a farm that belonged to D. Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, ferreirinha, and which still remains in the hands of its descendants. Vallado wines have been unjustly forgotten and have now naturally made up for lost time. They are wines of great importance in the history of the Douro and deserve to be in the top places. Built in 1716, Quinta Do Vallado is one of the oldest in the Douro. It is located right next to Régua, on the banks of the Corgo River. The destinations of this emblematic Quinta are in the hands of João Alves Ribeiro and Francisco Ferreira, both descendants of Ferreirinha, and responsible for the management of the company and Oenology, respectively.
