Situated in the heart of the Upper Alentejo, in Alter do Chão, HERDADE PAPA LEITE dates back to the seventeenth century, a landmark that can still be found in the homeship. Filipe Barreiros Cardoso, passionate about the area and the property, acquired HERDADE PAPA LEITE to realize the dream of producing high quality products. I dream this one, which was only possible to achieve with the support of his family and the team with which he works. For centuries, the exploitation of cereals, olive groves, holm oaks and wetlettrees were the main activities to which the estate was dedicated.
With the reproduction of the existing Alentejo breed and the introduction of the Aberdeen-Angus breed, the estate has seen its activity revitalized and, nowadays, the approximately 320 hectares in addition to raising cattle, also produce wine and olive oil.
