The 'Terra Quente' transmontana has always been destined for the production of wines of choice, from the 'Passum Optima' (raisin wine destined for Rome during the validity of the Roman Empire) to the fact that Valpaços already belonged to the Port Wine region at the beginning of the 20th century.
