(It is a wine of concentrated color, expresses bright violet nuances. The aroma features high nura with notes of ripe plum and blackberry complexed with soft mentholated notes and spices in. The taste is velvety and intense, grandiose, with the presence of rich and silky tannins. With complex and harmonious structure, it reveals a unique minerality combined with a long mouth m. The wine is in, of exquisite bouquet and long persistence, great to drink already but that will evolve very well in the bottle.)

Quinta Chão de São Francisco, 5kms from the city of Viseu - were it not for Viseu the heart of Beira - is all a pleasant place of picturesque and calm in which it feels to live in the landscape.
It has a vast history dating back to the Sec. XVIII, along with the House of Treixedo in Viseu, properties of the Viscount of Treixedo, a prominent member of a family of wellies of the province.
The Quinta has a reference beirão manor that represents an architectural, historical and religious legacy important to the Viseu region. It also houses the chapel of Our Lady of the Slaves, founded in 1660, a testimony of portugal's history of the Sec. The Farm also has the image of the Saint, an example of the faith and belief of the people and the rural fidalguia of the time.

With about 8 hectares of vineyards, it was fully renovated in 1996 with new vineyards with Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Jaen varieties, with a production of about 1 to 2.5 kg per strain. From here are produced the Dop Dão "Chão da Quinta" wines of recognized quality.
