<h3 style="text-align:justify;"><span class="tm6">The result of a strong dedication, work and constant learning, this wine project was born in 1989, by the hand of António Augusto Fernandes. At that time, the construction of the winery marked the start of the production of generous wines and table. Nowadays, after several expansion and requalification works, the winery has 2400m2 producing about 450,000 liters of wine per year, sold in more than 16 countries worldwide. </span>With an area of 50 hectares, spread over six farms, QUINTA DO VALE DA PERDIZ – Sociedade Agrícola, Lda holds some of the best national and traditional varieties in the Douro Superior region. Cistus wines come from these varieties, namely Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Arinto, Fernão Pires and Rabigato.</h3> <h3></h3> <p></p>

The first property in the Douro was purchased in 1987 and Dirk NIEPOORT ushered in a new era in the company with the creation of the first Red Dome in 1991. In recent years, NIEPOORT has launched itself the great challenge of interpreting other soils and climates, and has acquired two properties in other regions: Dão and Bairrada. In July 2011, Diálogo Branco 2010 and Fabelhaft Branco were launched. <h3 style="text-align:justify;"><span class="tm6">In 1994 three of the children of the Meireles Family, Frederico, Afonso and Manuel, winemaker, agricultural and military technician, respectively, decided to boost the small farm of the family located in the Douro in Beira Grande-Carrazeda de Ansiães understood that with the "silver of the house" they met conditions to carry forward a motivating project in the wine aspect. And that's what happened. </span>Soon that year they restructured the small Family Winery, take advantage of the lagares to vinify the reds and equip the winery with modern technology for the production of whites.
