Our Shipping Policy

Shipping conditions:

We only ship orders after effective confirmation of payment.

The prices of the products already include the rate of (VAT) in force and applicable to each one of them.

Prices may change without notice.

With the exception of purchases equal to or greater than €50 (only for mainland Portugal shipments) , the value of each product displayed on our website (including VAT) adds the cost of shipping, which is calculated based on the weight and respective destination in shipments to Portugal and the Islands. In international deliveries, the shipping cost is calculated based on the weight and measure (volume) of the package. 

Shipping method

The Flavor & Art offers four types of shipment or delivery orders.  
 

- Pick up at your physical store (Rua de João de Deus, 771 / 4100-462 Porto) without any shipping costs at the following times and days of the week:  

Monday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm - Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm - *Saturday between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.    

Except for any unforeseen circumstances, the order will be available to be picked up at the store, one hour after the customer pays for it, with the exception of orders referring to Baskets, which were only available ( hours) after the respective payment.      

- Dispatch by CTT , which will only be delivered in Mainland Portugal. In this mode, the customer can choose to pick up his order at an agent or CTT post closest to him, or at the postal address desired by the customer.      

- Shipping by GLS carrier to Mainland Portugal - Mainland Spain.     

- Shipping by GLS carrier to most European Union (EU) countries.    

 

Except holidays or Christmas and New Year's Eve 

 

Value of on - demand delivery: 

The customer can check the value of shipping costs applied to their order, before finalizing the purchase and the respective payment.  

 

 

 

Deliveries in Mainland Portugal:

Our delivery period is generally only made on working days (Monday to Friday) and during office hours (from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm). On Christmas and New Year's Eve, if they fall on a business day, we only deliver until 13:00.

 

Estimated delivery times in Mainland Portugal:

The delivery time for orders (under normal conditions) is estimated to be approximately 48 hours, but may be extended up to 72 hours in case (in addition to unforeseen events in transit) there is a request for "Bags" or " Gift Boxes" exceeding 10 units, where this process requires more time to prepare for shipment.

The customer can choose to take their order at our physical store located at Rua de João de Deus, 771 in Porto , free of any shipping costs.   

Due to a large flow of orders in the month of December and for this reason, Sabor & Art does not commit to orders placed from the 15th of December to be delivered within the deadlines considered normal.

*** Islands - Azores and Madeira:

In the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira, the delivery period will be between 6 to 16 working days. Please note that these deadlines are for information purposes only, as there may be irregularities in connections to and between islands, which (if they exist) will be beyond Sabor & Art's compliance with the delivery deadlines for orders. This is especially true for shipments to Ilha das Flores and Corvo, which may be subject to an increase in transit time of around 12 working days.

Shipments to Mainland Spain :

Between 48h to 72h.

International:

Transit times in Europe are generally between 3 to 7 working days and in other countries between 7 to 10 working days, however in other destinations in the world it may be longer. In these (international) shipments, the customer must take into account certain and certain legal constraints in each country.

1. In some countries, the sale and consequent import of alcoholic beverages, among other foodstuffs, is expressly prohibited.

2. In extra-community (EU) countries, customs fees may be charged in some cases.

In both notices, Sabor & Art declines any responsibility if the order(s) for any of these reasons, or others of a legal nature, are not delivered. Therefore, we advise you to be properly informed before sending any order with an International destination.

In any delivery method, we will send you an email or SMS, informing you of the dispatch of your order, containing the tracking number of the order (tracking), which you can use to follow the status of the shipment on the website of our carriers. As soon as the order is shipped, you will receive an email informing you that it is in transit. On the day of delivery, you will receive an SMS when the driver leaves the warehouse, as well as the driver's number and identification, in case you need to change any delivery details.

 *** Shipments temporarily suspended...

Order reception :

When receiving the order, the customer should check:

1. The number of packages coincides with that indicated on the transport/invoice note.

2. Check the external condition of the order for tears, stains that you suspect come from the inside of the package (if orders are for drinks, or other liquid and similar products.) 

 In the event of detecting any visible external damage to the merchandise, the customer must refuse to receive the volume(s) in question and immediately notify our services via email geral@saboreart.pt and as soon as possible to obtain it from us a detailed information of what happened, we will contact the customer in order to find a solution for this purpose, which may include a new shipment or refund of the amount paid by the customer for that order.  

 

Delivery Attempts:

Only 2 attempts through a carrier and only one attempt through CTT, both in the single attempt (CTT) and in the second attempt (carrier) and if the delivery cannot take place because it is attributed to the recipient, it will be left a document for pick up at a point (Pick Up) nearest (CTT post or other) with the customer having 5 days to pick up the order. 

Unmade deliveries:

After the period established above (5 days) for picking up the order ends, it will be returned to the sender. In this situation, shipping costs will not be returned to the recipient. In the case of international shipments, the value to be calculated of the postage for each return will be the shipping value, plus the respective return value. Sabor e Art will only refund the amount related to the cost of the product after deducting these two amounts from the postage. Please do not hesitate to contact our store (925434618 - 229542736) before placing any order. In the event of a new order for delivery, the respective shipping costs will be charged again.

Sabor & Art does not deliver to PO Boxes, nor does it deliver on collection.
