WHISKY - JOHNNIE WLAKER -...

The story of JOHNNIE WALKER begins, of course, with the man who gave his name to our whiskey. John Walker's father died in 1819. A tough start for a country boy, but John always had something special. The glow in the eyes, fire in the bowels, energy in every step i took. At that time, the world was not the friendliest place and John knew it. There was no time for afflictions. He had to make a living. That year, the family farm was sold and the money was used for John Walker to establish, along with his brother, the grocery store itself in the prosperous town of Kilmarnock. It was a small step. He had a natural gift for business, in addition to the talent for producing whisky. At that time, most traders stocked unique malts, but they were never consistent. John began mixing them so that his whisky always tasted the same, which proved to be a popular addition to his stock. When John died in 1857, after a full and prosperous life, he left his son Alexander a very strong business. They were times of rapid change. The UK was the driving force of the Industrial Revolution and everything changed very fast. Rail transport arrived in Kilmarnock, transporting goods to large ships that traveled routes to the four corners of the world.
