This is how Duorum is born, a project dreamed and carried out in the millenary vineyards of the Douro. Duorum Vinhos started its activity in January 2007 and expresses the willingness of João Portugal Ramos and José Maria Soares Franco to join their professional activities of winemakers in a project to produce Douro wines of unique characteristics and international dimension.</span></h2>

<h2 style="text-align:justify;"><span class="tm6">The CASA FERREIRINHA and its wines are synonymous with time and art. This is the case since its foundation, in the eighteenth century, by the hand of Bernardo Ferreira, who saw the formula refined by the descendants, especially by his granddaughter Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, who affectionately became known as "Ferreirinha" or "Ferreirinha-da-Régua" by the people of his land. At the hands of Dona Antónia, who twice a widow found herself at the head of a large company, Ferreira consolidated herself admirably. Her entrepreneurial spirit has taught her to predict, decide, create, teach and love, making her naked CASA FERREIRINHA and her wines are synonymous with time and art. It was founded in 1638 by Cristiano Kopke and his son, Nicolau Kopke who had come to Portugal as consul of the Hanseatic League. Adding 4 centuries of success in the world of Port wines, the Kopke brand, acquired in 2006 by the Sogevinus group, is today a prestigious reference, maintaining the quality objectives that have guided it in the market over the years, being especially recognized in Harvest Ports, with high notoriety in the sector.</span></p>

In the 1970s this culture was relegated to the background with the vineyard taking the lead that remains to this day.</span></p>

But also of several varieties was made a single story. In the case of Blend, we have a trio that fits perfectly. The exuberance of Touriga Nacional is complemented by the elegance of Touriga Franca, seasoned at the end by Tinta Roriz. A wine that in each glass tells us of the fruit, the earth and the ventozelo vegetation.</span></h3>

<h3 style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#4a4a4a;font-family:Lato, sans-serif;font-size:16px;background-color:#ffffff;">The legendary Quinta de Roriz has undergone a real qualitative revolution in recent years, returning to occupy its deserved post with the best producers in the Douro and Portugal. This famous, beautiful and historic Douro property is now owned by the Symington family of Graham's Port. Located on the left bank of the Douro, in a natural amphitheater, the Portuguese winery has its vineyards distributed between 125 and 500 meters of altitude. Roriz has more than 200 hectares of vineyards, among which, 42 hectares are occupied with vineyards of letter "A". The soils of Quinta de Roriz have remnants of tin mixed in a predominantly shale terrain, coming from the old mines located in the region, which gives the wines a strong mineral character. Its location, close to the Douro River, provides colder nights during the ripening season of the grapes, resulting in intense aromatic qualities, which are easily identifiable in their wines.</span></h3>

<h3 style="text-align:justify;"><span class="tm6">To the north, in the head, about 3 km of ash from Espada to Cinta, is the Lady of the Hills Ermos. Legend has it that desiring the naturals to build a chapel in S. Brás, during the night, were the tools systematically changed to this place. Freixenists worship her in a very special way. They evoke her in afflictions, promises are forced. The biggest festivities of the village of Freixo are in honor of Senhora dos Montes Ermos.<br />Montes Ermos is a territory of wide landscapes and a beautiful agricultural mosaic, fragas, impressive rugged rocky massifs of granite, shale and quartezit, distributed along the Douro valleys and their tributaries where you can contemplate a nature in its purest and wildest state with a grandiose fauna and flora.</span></h3>

<h3 style="text-align:justify;"><span class="tm6">It all started in 1918, when Manoel Domingues Poças Júnior, born in the center of the hustle and bustle of Port Wine, decided to found his own business. It was August 15, a few months before the Armistice. Manoel Poças had 30 years and some work experience in the area. With his uncle, he founded a company to sell brandies to major producers of Port Wine. Shortly thereafter he established the state of new life in Vila Nova de Gaia. First his uncle, then his brothers, his wife, his grandchildren: the whole Poças family came to share his passion for wine, combining respect for tradition with an open mind to the innovation brought by the new generations. Today, with three farms in the best locations of the Douro Demarcated Region, Poças has full control of the quality of its wines. And the family's involvement is stronger than ever.</span></h3> <h3 style="text-align:justify;"></h3> <p></p>

<h3 style="text-align:justify;"><span class="tm6">The QUINTA DA PACHECA, one of the best known properties of the Douro, stands out for the fact that it was the first to bottle wines with its own brand. It is in a document dated April 17, 1738 that for the first time reference is made to the Fifth called "da Pacheca" for being its owner D. Mariana Pacheco Pereira. But it was only in 1903 that D. José Freire de Serpa Pimentel decided to develop his growing interest in oenology, buying the property in order to devote himself to wine production. Today, a century ago, the new generation of Serpa Pimentel takes over the management of the Farm: Maria, Catarina and José are the young faces of this company of a markedly familiar nature.</span></h3> <p></p> <p></p>

Our story begins in 2010 with the launch of the first labeled wine.
